Non-destructive testing device using induced alternating current potential: T05-236
Introduction to Tohoku University technology: Measuring crack shapes by inducing current non-contactly and measuring the potential difference.
In recent years, the "remote induction potential difference method," which utilizes the electromagnetic induction phenomenon to remotely induce current onto the inspection target without contact by separating the induction wire from the test specimen, has gained attention compared to the concentrated induction type alternating current potential difference method that induces current in close proximity to the test specimen. In this invention, the method was applied to thick back surface cracks and inner surface cracks of pipes, confirming its effectiveness.
